The Prescott and Russell Law Association is a membership-based organization of lawyers and paralegals practicing law in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. You must be a member of the Law Society of Ontario. Our Association provides members with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) information and programs, organizes social events, and generally represents the interests of the local legal community to the Law Society of Ontario, FOLA, government, and the public. The PRLA website lists the contact info and areas of practice of its members. We provide a barristers’ lounge with a change room, and free wi-fi.
The courthouse library is funded by the Library and Information Resources Network (LiRN) and our Association. We provide a library with reference books, three desktop work areas, printers, fax. Thanks to the support of LiRN, the PRLA library provides free online access to these research tools: WestLaw Crim. Fam. Est.; LexisNexis Advance QL & Practical Guidance; vLex Irwin.
The library is staffed part-time; however, there is access at all times during courthouse hours. To borrow a book, take a photograph of the front cover and email to prescott.law@bellnet.com.ca
Your continued support for, and participation in, the Prescott and Russell Law Association is appreciated.
